A key part of your Bento Box! When you create your project, this is one of the requirements. You need to divide your project into 3 pages, creating dividers - hence the name of this requirement!
One of these cards must be a Welcome page! This is a different requirement, called The Lid, which you can read more about on the other requirement card!
For the other two cards - its up to you! If your making a blog, maybe one page is for your blog posts and the other is for your about page! If you are making a recipe tracker, maybe one page could be your recipes and the other could be your top tips when cooking and baking! You have creative freedom here!
As mentioned in the Dividers requirement, one of your pages must be a welcome page!
Like before, you have creative freedom here! It could be a simple as a welcome message with a button to open the rest of the project, or it could be more complex, with a logo on the page (more about logos later), some featured content, and for more expierenced programmers, a login / signup screen!
What would you do if you 3 - amazing - pages, but no way to get between them! You would be stuck!
So, in Bento, one of our requirements is to have a way to navigate between your different pages. This could be extremely simple, like buttons at the end of the page, or for an extra challenge, we really reccomend you create a navigation bar! Again, this can be as simple or advanced as you want it to be!
For this - you need to make some content for your project! Again, this is completely optional, but if you do make some content, you can boost your coin payout!
However, if you want to qualify for this bonus, you must have used Hackatime to track your project. This helps reviewers see how much time you spend coding. Your project starts at a base rate of 20 coins, but by using Hackatime and making content, you can make your payout higher!
To qualify, you need to make 2 pieces of content! This includes, but isn't limited to: 2 images with descriptions, 2 recipes, 2 blog posts, 2 quick guides, 2 books - and anything else you can think of! Content can also be extra features, like using JavaScript to animate your site, or adding extra pages!
The content can't be filler content! It needs to be quality content at a minimum, and your main effort must go into your coding project.
In return, you will recieve bonus coins based on the hours you tracked!
Create a logo like this logo for your project to recieve bonus coins for your club! Your design must:
Be made in Figma, must only take up to 20 minutes of your project time and must be original (you can still use guides)
In return, you will recieve up to 15 bonus coins depending on the quality of your logo!
We reccomend using the guide located on anchor.hackclub.com - or here but you can make it with another guide, or completely made by you!
Like before - but especially here - we want you to have creative freedom. But we also want to make sure your logo doesn't take too long to make and clearly represents what your project does!
Only if you want to qualify for the Content Bonus! If you wish to not use Hackatime - you won't be able to qualify for the Content bonus but can stil apply for the Logo Bonus!
No, the logo must be original and created for this specific project. Reusing logos from previous projects is not allowed.
Anything that adds value or makes use of the project. This could be images and a short description, recipes, blgo posts, quick guides, book reviews, etc etc!
No - you cannot use AI. If you do use AI - reviewers reserve the right to reject your project or deflate your payout. We want you to learn and grow - AI is reserved for later on - Hack Club wants you to learn, a bad website doesn't mean a rejection, it might make your project be approved faster!
